To protect the dignity and safety of LGBTQ+ Americans in my district and nationwide, I will strongly support the Equality Act, the Every Child Deserves a Family Act and other bills designed to prohibit discrimination against LGBTQ+ people.

 

Through Medicare for All, I will also help ensure LGBTQ+ people have comprehensive health insurance without discrimination from providers.

 

Furthermore, as a schoolteacher who has seen the sort of impacts that bullying can have upon all students, I am in strong support of policies to ensure students can attend school without fear of bullying, and will work to substantially reduce suicides among our youth population.
